The Cold Neutron Research Facility (CNRF) at the National Institute of
Standards and Technology's (NIST) 20 MW research reactor is seeking an
experimental condensed matter scientist for a postdoctoral position as a
research associate/instrument scientist for a joint program with the
University of Maryland in low-energy, triple-axis neutron spectroscopy.  In
addition to conducting independent or collaborative research in condensed
matter science, the incumbent would share the responsibilities of assisting
visiting researchers in carrying out experiments on the CNRF's Spin
Polarized Inelastic Neutron Scattering (SPINS) spectrometer.  The incumbent
would be a research associate of the University of Maryland, College Park,
but would be stationed at NIST, Gaithersburg, Maryland.  This is a two
year, minimum, position with the University's full benefits package and a
salary in the range from $40,000 to $50,000 depending on qualifications and
