UNIVERSITY OF ABERTAY DUNDEE
POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT
£18,265 - £27,339
Biophysicist/ Bioengineer
As part of a major expansion in the university's environmental research
programme following its RAE-2001 top rating in Scotland, a post-doctoral
position is available to work in the growing area of non-destructive and
functional quantification of biological processes by using Atomic Force
Microscopy. The post would ideally suit a bio-physicist/bio-engineer with
experience of scanning probe microscopy or related techniques and with a
strong interest in working across boundaries. Experience in biological
techniques would be an advantage, but appropriate training will be provided.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in a
wide range of other imaging/structural techniques (mCT-scanning, neutron and
X-ray scattering, biological tracking). In the case of exceptional
candidates the University will consider appointment at a senior level with
excellent opportunities for career progression. For further information on
the post please contact Dr. A. K. Adya: a.k.adya at abertay.ac.uk
