Call for Proposals		Round 04/1

Deadline 16 October 2003

Dear ISIS Users

Proposals are invited for access to the ISIS Neutron and Muon Instruments.
Applications must reach us by 16 October 2003.  For further information
please consult the Guidelines for Proposer attached to this e-mail and also
available from the ISIS web.   

Proposals must address the following points:
	Scientific case and broader scientific impact of the proposed
research
	Description of the proposed experiment
	Justification of beam time requested

Proposals may be submitted electronically by sending a completed application
form in PDF (preferred format!!) , PostScript or Word format either by web
upload via http://www.isis.rl.ac.uk/applying/

email address ISISproposals at rl.ac.uk <mailto:ISISproposals at rl.ac.uk> .
Please ensure that your proposal prints correctly and completely before
submitting it!
Please use the most recent version of the proposal template available from
our web site: http://www.isis.rl.ac.uk/applying/
<http://www.isis.rl.ac.uk/applying/>  . Those Users wishing to submit paper
copies of their proposals should mail them to the ISIS User Office, The ISIS
Facility, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Chilton, OX11 0 QX, UK.

The ISIS Facility Access Panels will meet on 3-4 December 2003.  Scheduling
for proposals from this round will be from March 2004 onwards.

A Microsoft Word of the ISIS Experiment Proposal Form can be obtained from
the ISIS World Wide Web site under "Applying for beam time".
 
These files may also be copied by anonymous FTP from ftp.nd.rl.ac.uk

as  /pub/forms/isis1.dot and /pub/forms/isis_hlp.doc

Electronic Submission of Proposals
