Software Developer
NIST Center for Neutron Research

The NIST Center For Neutron Research (NCNR) is seeking candidates for a
position as a software developer in its Research Facility Data
Visualization and Analysis team.

The NCNR is a National user facility that develops and makes available
to the general scientific community advanced instrumentation for
materials research using beams of cold neutrons. More information about
the NCNR can be found at the web site http://www.ncnr.nist.gov. The Data
Visualization and Analysis team specializes in providing end-user
visualization and analysis applications for materials scientists using
the NCNR neutron scattering instrument suite. Candidate will design,
develop, implement, and maintain the graphical user-interface for the
instrument control system, work closely with scientific staff, and
integrate the graphical user-interface (GUI) into the DAVE (Data
Analysis and Visualization Environment) software suite
(http://www.ncnr.nist.gov/dave). Candidate will troubleshoot software
in a high-availability environment.

Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2005 or until a suitable
candidate has been identified. Applicants should send a resume and
