For our new neutron zero field polarimeter MuPAD for the Swiss neutron
source SINQ we are looking for a

PSI has an open position for a Physicist (50% position) for development
of neutron polarimetry at SINQ

Your tasks

*	Further development and operation of the neutron polarimeter
MuPAD
*	Collaboration with academic groups interested in using MuPAD and
support of external users during their stay at PSI
*	Research in the field of magnetism in condensed matter

Your profile:

You hold a PhD degree in physics and have several years experience with
neutron scattering (preferably with polarized neutron scattering).
Excellent knowledge of magnetism, neutron scattering instrumentation and
data analysis is required as well as communication skills.

If you are interested in working in the fascinating field of polarized
neutron scattering and are capable of establishing a high-class research
program in collaboration with colleagues at PSI, please contact Dr.
Peter Allenspach, e-mail: peter.allenspach at psi.ch
<mailto:peter.allenspach at psi.ch> , phone +41 (0) 56 310 25 27.

We are looking forward to your application. Applications from female

Please send your application to: Paul Scherrer Institut, Human
Resources, Mr. Thomas Erb, ref. code 3600, 5232 Villigen PSI,
Switzerland.

The Paul Scherrer Institut is a centre for multi-disciplinary research
and one of the world's leading user laboratories. With its 1200
employees it belongs as an autonomous institution to the Swiss ETH
domain and concentrates its activities on solid-state research and
material sciences, elementary particle and astrophysics, energy and
environmental research as well as on biology and medicine.
