Job title Postdoc in neutron reflectometry
Description The Section 'Neutron and positron methods in materials' (NPM2) of the Department Radiation, Radionuclides & Reactors at the Delft University of Technology is looking for a postdoc in the field of soft-matter research using neutron reflectometry.
Your tasks: collaborate in the present research area of adsorption of (bio)macromolecules at (modified) surfaces and start up research on biological membranes. Use is made of the recently upgraded reflectometer ROG at the Delft Reactor Institute (formerly known as IRI) and use of beam time at larger facilities (e.g. OffSpec at the second target station of ISIS) is foreseen.
Your profile: Recently graduated in physics, chemistry or biology; experience or strong interest in neutron reflectometry; experience or strong interest in soft-matter research; experimental skills ranging from designing and performing experiments to data reduction and interpretation.
The position is limited to two years.
