[Neutron] 1st Announcement JCNS Workshop 2010: Magnetism and Correlated Electron Systems

We are pleased to inform you about the

*JCNS Workshop 2010 "Trends and Perspectives in Neutron Scattering:
Magnetism and Correlated Electron Sysatems" *

to be held on Oct. 4-7 2010 in Bernried near Munich, Germany. For

The workshop is dedicated to the current status and future trends and
possibilities of neutron scattering methods in studying structure and
dynamics in magnetism and correlated electron systems will be discussed.
Topics addressed include:

    * Frustrated Magnets
    * Quantum and low dimensional magnetism
    * Magneto-caloric
    * Superconductivity and pnictides
    * Multiferroics
    * Heavy fermions
    * Theory
    * New Materials and sample preparation
    * Instrumentation

The workshop will consist of invited and contributed talks and poster
presentations. Contributions to be presented as oral or poster
presentation are requested.

Deadline for early registration and submission of abstracts is June 28
2010.
The final registration is July 28 2010.
The registration and ssbatrct submission will be open from May 1 2010.

The workshop fee is 430 EUR for normal participants and 280 EUR for
students. The workshop fee includes full lodging and board at the
conference hotel Hotel Seeblick or nearby hotel, as well as workshop
dinner and excursion to FRM II in Munich-Garching. Participants who want
to join the workshop without on-site accommodation will have to pay a
reduced workshop fee of 250 EUR.
