LANSCE welcomes June Matthews as the 2012 Chair of the LANSCE User Group!
June is a Professor of Physics at MIT and specializes in experimental nuclear physics.  She has carried out research at the MIT-Bates Electron Accelerator Laboratory and the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility.  She has performed experiments at LANSCE-WNR since 1996, and was elected to the LUG EC in 2010.

LANSCE also recognizes Steve Conradson for his contributions to the LUG as 2011 Chair.

LANSCE Users,

The annual election of the LANSCE User Group begins with this announcement, and runs through 3 February. Three slots on the Executive Committee are rolling over, plus the one-year student position. The LUG Executive Committee is your voice to LANSCE and LANSCE's sponsors and has a surprisingly large influence and role, so your vote is critical in ensuring that your ideas for LANSCE are carried out. The LUG and the Executive Committee operate under the charter, which needs continual updates as LANSCE evolves, as is reflected in the three amendments recommended by the Committee for your approval.
