Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that we will be running an inelastic neutron spectroscopy data analysis training course via Zoom, focusing on the Horace and SpinW programs. The course will provide tuition in how best to exploit Horace to visualise and analyse time-of-flight inelastic neutron scattering data, and training in the use of SpinW to calculate spin wave dispersion relations and intensities.

In addition, there will be sessions on other programs used in INS data analysis: simulating phonon spectra with Euphonic, and the Mantid modules for crystal field data analysis and MSlice powder data visualisation. Each session (including the Horace and SpinW sessions) is independent and can be attended on its own.

The course will be run between June 28th – July 9th 2021 and is free to attend.

For further information and registration please visit https://www.isis.stfc.ac.uk/Pages/Excitations-Data-Analysis-Workshop-2021.aspx

Please note that registration closes at 09:00 BST on Tuesday June 1st, with participants’ places confirmed shortly after.

We look forward to seeing you on the course!

With best regards,

The Horace and SpinW team.
