[Neutron] ESS ILL Joint User Meeting Announcement

Dear Colleague,

In 2018 ILL and ESS hosted their first European Users Meeting in Grenoble. This successful meeting was followed in 2020 by a remote meeting hosted by the ILL and ESS. We now plan the third instalment of this series as an in-person meeting held in Lund in October 2022. There will be some opportunity to participate remotely.

This meeting will provide a forum to review the achievements of the user community, present the current status of ILL and ESS and most importantly to look forward to the scientific opportunities ahead for neutron science.

As the two European neutron sources, we would therefore like to invite you to the

Third ESS and ILL European Users Meeting

Wednesday, 5 October 2022
(beginning 09:00)
to
Friday, 7 October 2022
(end 13:00)
in Lund, Sweden

We shall have a number of plenary speakers presenting the application of neutron science, from fundamental research to applications addressing societal challenges, as well as reports on recent achievements and ongoing work at ESS and ILL. There will be focused parallel sessions, which will allow participants to delve deeper into specific areas of neutron science. We will also include a site visit to enable participants to explore the growing ESS and learn about the construction and installation progress that has been made.
