Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the polarized neutron school is open to applications. The school is intended to be held in-person from July 24 to 25, 2022 at the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, preceding the 14th biennial Polarized Neutrons for Condensed Matter Investigations (PNCMI) conference. The school will provide a comprehensive introduction to polarized neutrons, techniques and scientific applications. The lectures will cover basic principles of polarized neutrons, small-angle scattering, reflectometry, and diffraction/inelastic scattering. Following the lectures, virtual experiments in small groups and the relevant data reduction process will be provided.

The school is free for all selected attendees. Accommodations, breakfast, and lunch will be provided both days.

Please note that the maximum number of participants is limited to 15 students from North America. Please submit your application by April 29, 2022.

For more information, please visit the PNCMI 2022 website: https://pncmi2022.umd.edu/school/ or email pncmi2022 at nist.gov<mailto:pncmi2022 at nist.gov>

Kind regards,

Wangchun Chen
