Dear Colleagues,
The Group of Magnetic Properties at Charles University and the MGML laboratory (https://mgml.eu/), in collaboration with the University of Augsburg through the BaCQueRel project, is offering three research positions: one postdoctoral researcher and two PhD studentships, focusing on quantum phenomena in frustrated magnetic materials.
Available Positions:
Postdoctoral Researcher: Specializing in inelastic neutron scattering to explore quantum spin liquids and other exotic states of matter. This position also involves investigating thermal conductivity in low-temperature regimes to understand heat transport in quantum materials. Details: https://bacquerel.eu/postdoc/
Application Deadline: October 20th, 2024.
PhD in Neutron Scattering: Focusing on neutron scattering techniques to study quantum spin liquids, along with complementary bulk measurements to probe energy transport in these frustrated systems. Details: https://bacquerel.eu/neutron-phd/
Application Deadline: November 1st, 2024.
PhD in Crystal Growth: Focusing on the growth of frustrated magnetic materials using advanced techniques. The candidate will work with a variety of specialized furnaces available at the MGML laboratory. Details: https://bacquerel.eu/crystal-phd/
Application Deadline: November 1st, 2024.
