[Neutron] Shaping the Future of ESS

Dear Colleagues,

ESS invites the European scientific community to contribute to a roadmap for instruments beyond the 15 currently under construction.

Proposals for conceptual instrument ideas can be submitted between 3 February 2025 and 3 February 2026. Selected ideas will be developed further collaboratively, paving the way for ground breaking neutron science for decades to come.

Researchers interested in proposing an instrument concept are encouraged to contact ESS early for guidance on feasibility. Proposals should focus on scientific capacity and capability, highlighting how the concept complements the current suite and advances global neutron science. Please contact ESS (instrumentroadmap at ess.eu<mailto:instrumentroadmap at ess.eu>) with any queries regarding the call.
