[Neutron] Ph.D studentship with Technical University of Denmark and Institut Laue-Langevin

Dear all,
Assoc. Prof. Thomas Olsen from DTU (Technical University of Denmark) and myself at ILL are looking to fill a Ph.D studentship on “Magnon-phonon coupling in FePS3”. The student will combine computation methods, including density functional theory, with neutron scattering experiments to study the underlying dynamics driving a magnetic, layered van der Waals compound. The degree will be awarded by DTU, but the student will spend the majority of their time at ILL. We do not have a strict deadline for applications, but are hoping to have someone start after the summer.
