Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce our upcoming workshop on Integrated Modelling and Scattering for Biomolecules, which will be held from Monday 18th May until Wednesday 20th May 2026 in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

The meeting will bring together researchers from the scattering and modelling communities to share the current state-of-the-art in the study of the structure and dynamics of biomolecules and their assemblies. Co-organised by the British Biophysical Society (BBS) and CCPBioSim (Collaborative Computational Project for Biomolecular Simulation) its scope is to bridge communities who have a shared interest in biomolecules, create opportunities for discussion, identify current challenges and work collaboratively towards new solutions.

The meeting programme will consist of invited and contributed talks and poster presentations and provide an overview of the latest experimental techniques of neutron and X-ray scattering combined with a range of computational modelling methods. Focus areas include (i) complex biomolecular systems, such as solution structures of large complexes, flexible proteins and intrinsically disordered proteins, (ii) protein assemblies like crosslinked protein networks, self-assembled peptide hydrogels and liquid-liquid phase separation and (iii) new tools, including new experimental platforms for integrating scattering with additional complementary biophysical characterisation methods, coarse grained modelling platforms for scattering, new structural refinement tools for scattering data and ensemble averaged modelling for disordered systems.

Early career researchers are encouraged to attend and childcare can be arranged if required.

Invited speakers include:
    - Pau Bernado (CNRS Biologie, Montpellier)
    - Olwyn Byron (University of Glasgow)
    - Matteo Degiacomi (University of Edinburgh)
    - Lorna Dougan (University of Leeds)
    - Jonathan Essex (University of Southampton)
    - Hayden Fisher (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility)
    - Vito Fodera (University of Copenhagen)
    - Heinrich Haas (NeoVac)
    - Tom Headen (ISIS Neutron and Muon Facility)
    - Anne Martel (Institut Laue Langevin)
    - Rob Rambo (Diamond Light Source)
    - Frank Schreiber (University of Tübingen)
    - Marie Skepo (University of Lund)
