[Neutron] Call for Abstracts - Joint ESS-ILL User Meeting 2026

Dear neutron colleagues,

On behalf of the Science Directors of ESS and ILL, we are pleased to announce that abstract submission is now open for the 5th ESS-ILL Joint User Meeting, which will take place in Lund, Sweden, from 18-20 November 2026.

This meeting will bring together Europe’s neutron user community to share scientific results, strengthen collaborations, and discuss the future of neutron science.

The programme will include facility updates, scientific exchange, a poster session, community-led satellite meetings, and sessions covering the following scientific themes:

Quantum Materials
  *
Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation (including classical soft matter and membrane science)
  *
Additive Manufacturing
  *
Batteries and Energy Materials
  *
Fundamental Nuclear and Particle Physics

We warmly encourage you to submit an abstract and share this opportunity with colleagues and collaborators who may be interested.
