Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the International SISN Neutron Science
Conference (SISNSC 27), which will take place in Firenze, Italy, from 18
to 21 January 2027. Registration and abstract submission are now open,
and we warmly invite you to register and submit your contributions
through the conference website: https://www.sisn.it/sisnsc/.
SISNSC 27 continues the longstanding tradition of the Italian Neutron
Science Society (SISN) meetings in a fully international format. The
conference aims to broaden scientific exchange and strengthen
collaborations between the Italian neutron community and researchers
from around the world who use neutrons as a research tool. The
scientific program will be highly interdisciplinary, covering a wide
spectrum of fields, from fundamental neutron research to the latest
technological advancements. The conference flyer and poster are attached.
SISNSC 27 is being held in memory of our dear colleagues and friends,
Eleonora Guarini and Marco Zoppi. To honour their legacy and scientific
contributions to the neutron community, the program includes two special
sessions dedicated to them, focusing on the research themes they
pioneered and cared most deeply about. In addition, the Eleonora Guarini
PhD Thesis Prize will be awarded during the conference. Promoted by the
Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence, the
€1500 prize is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Eleonora Guarini. The
winner will also present the awarded research in an invited talk. For
more information, please see https://www.sisn.it/sisnsc/egprize/.
The SISN Annual Assembly for SISN APS registered members will also take
place as part of the International SISN Neutron Science Conference.
We look forward to welcoming you to Firenze.
With warm regards,
The Organizing Committee
