Large Scale Structures group in the Neutron Scattering Division is
seeking a post-doctoral researcher to contribute to the next generation
biological small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) instrument that is
proposed for Second Target Station (STS) at the Spallation Neutron
Source. In this position, you will join a diverse team of scientists
with expertise in neutron scattering instrumentation, computational
modeling, and structural biology. You will contribute to the scientific
activities of the team to study biological and environmental systems
such as biopolymers, biomembranes and other relevant biomaterials. In
addition, an important component of your work will be to develop in situ
and in operando measurement approaches that will allow simultaneous
data acquisition and analysis of SANS and other measurement modalities
such as light scattering and optical spectroscopy. This is a unique
opportunity to build your scientific profile in a collaborative setting
as well as gaining practical experience in the scientific and
instrumentation development of the next generation of neutron scattering
techniques for the STS project.</span></span></p>
