 crystal spectrometer (MACS), neutron spin echo spectrometer (NSE) and neutron diffraction.
</span></span><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk4061390"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">These powerful experimental techniques are used by researchers in a variety of scientific disciplines to probe the dynamics of materials over time scales ranging
 from 1 ps to 100 ns with length scales from under 1 nm to over 100 nm. This school emphasizes hands-on practical training for the instruments mentioned above as well as a thorough theoretical overview of these measurement techniques.</span></span><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk4061390"> 
</span><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk4061390"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Applications of dynamical techniques will be illustrated by specific examples drawn from recent cutting-edge research on soft and hard condensed matter systems.  The
