Research will utilize single crystal diffuse neutron and x-ray scattering and inelastic neutron scattering to study the impact of short-range correlations on emerging properties of interest in crystalline materials. This position will focus on investigating the coupling of short-range lattice correlations and fluctuations to electronic properties in systems with metal-insulator transitions or near a quantum phase transition. The candidate will also participate in other projects to study the influence of spin, charge, and lattice correlations on a range of properties of interest, such as ionic correlations and conductivity, frustrated magnetism, and relaxor behavior.</div><div class="">This position primarily involves experiments performed at national neutron and synchrotron x-ray facilities and analysis of such data. Experience in performing single crystal diffuse scattering experiments analyzing such data via real-space simulations, 3D-PDF, and other methods are strongly preferred.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">For more information and to apply, see the job posting at:</div><div class=""><a href="https://bit.ly/3qIoSPq" class="">https://bit.ly/3qIoSPq</a> </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">or search for Job Posting 414105 at</div><div class=""><a href="http://www.anl.gov/hr/postdoctoral-applicants" class="">http://www.anl.gov/hr/postdoctoral-applicants</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">With your application, please include a CV, list of publications, and a short statement of your accomplishments and research interests.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Sincerely,</div><div class=""><div>Stephan Rosenkranz <a href="mailto:srosenkranz@anl.gov" class="">srosenkranz@anl.gov</a><br class="">Senior Physicist, Sr. Groupleader<br class="">Neutron and X-ray Scattering Group</div><div>Materials Science Division Tel: +1 630 252 5475<br class="">Argonne National Laboratory Fax: +1 630 252 7777<br class="">Lemont, IL 60439, USA</div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div></body></html>
