The detailed description is as follows:</p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;">Engineering material diffractometer (EMD) is a dedicated engineering science facility at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), located at Dongguan, China. The EMD provides a world-class platform for measuring and analyzing the stress in large and complex engineering materials.The primary aim of this position is to develop a software solution for user-friendly and efficient, automatic processing of large numbers of TOF neutron diffraction datasets. The automated processing includes single peak fitting, interpolation and a fundamental analysis for strain/stress visualization, texture pole figure calculation. In addition to developing workflows for streamlining common tasks, you will have the opportunity to engage with users and staff to develop new ways for working with their data that enable them to translate their measurements more effectively into knowledge.<br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Major Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;">1.To convert the code written in Mantid for data reduction and normalization into a user-friendly interface to produce sensible data output that meets the requirements for texture and stress pole figure analysis</p><p style="font-size:14px;">2.To implement the required functionality in close collaboration with beamline staff and users</p><p style="font-size:14px;">3.To document the software, train and support our scientists and users in its use</p><p style="font-size:14px;">4.To present the progress and results at national/international conferences and workshops</p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;"><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;">1.PhD in Computer Science, Physic, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field.</p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;">2.Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Matlab)</p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;">3.Experience in software development</p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;">4.Ability to generate performance-optimized code and ergonomic user interfaces</p><p style="font-size:14px;text-wrap:wrap;">5.Ability to interact well with people of all backgrounds and experiences.</p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;"> Experience with diffraction data analysis</p><p style="font-size:14px;"> Experience with working at a neutron/synchrotron beamline</p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><strong>We offer you:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;">The initial contract is for a period of two years with the possibility of a fixed-term or indefinite extension based on scientific, technical and managerial achievements.</p><p style="font-size:14px;">Salary of Post-Doc is 400.000 RMB, with Year-End Bonus Subsidy from the Government 30.000~10.000 RMB. </p><p style="font-size:14px;">A two-room flat for approximately 300 USD rent per month or three-room flat for 400 USD rent per month.</p><p style="font-size:14px;">We can reimburse you for international moving expenses.</p><p style="font-size:14px;">Chinese public school education/language course for your children.</p><p style="font-size:14px;">Flexible working hours and various models to ensure the compatibility of family and career.</p><p style="font-size:14px;">The local government also offers various preferential policies for foreign nationals coming to China.</p><p style="font-size:14px;"><br></p><p style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Requirements for application:</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;">Interested?
