Dear neutron users,

The KFN calls for the registration of “new” neutron users in
      Germany

The German user representation KFN asks all neutron users with
German affiliation and all neutron users with German citizenship to
be registered as voters until Friday, 9 January 2026.

If you use neutrons and your employer is based in Germany or you are
a German citizen, have a professional qualification (at university
at least a bachelor's degree) and are not yet registered yet, please
    do so at:

https://www.sni-portal.de/en/user-committees/committee-research-with-neutrons/users/kfn%20registration%20form

How do you know if you are already registered?

If you have received an email from the KFN on 12 November with the
subject “[kfn-waehler] Sie sind wahlberechtigt – oder nicht? / You
are eligible to vote – or are you?” (or have registered as voter
after that date) you are registered as eligible to vote and do not
    need to take action.

Why should all German neutron users be registered?

The Committee for Research with Neutrons (KFN, see
https://www.sni-portal.de/en/user-committees/committee-research-with-neutrons)
represents the interests of neutron users in Germany vis-à-vis
politicians, institutions and the public. A new KFN will be elected
in February/March 2026, and the electoral register will be finalised
in the coming days. The more voters (and the higher the turnout),
the greater the political weight of the KFN.

Please spread the news

Please forward this e-mail to colleagues who are new to neutron
research and therefore might not have registered yet.

To all voters: Be sure to participate in the 2026 elections!
