Staff Scientist--soft materials
The Intense Pulsed Neutron Source (IPNS) of Argonne National Laboratory
invites immediate applications for a staff scientist position. We are
looking for a highly motivated physicist or chemist with a strong
background in neutron scattering studies of soft matter. The successful
applicant is expected to carry out independent research and
collaborative studies with users, and to participate in instrument
development and operation in association with the small-angle scattering
and/or reflectivity experiments at IPNS. Candidates should have a Ph. D.
degree in physics or chemistry with expertise in neutron scattering and
a broad knowledge in soft materials such as polymers, macromolecules,
liquid or solid interfaces. Additional experience with x-rays is
desirable. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a list of
publications, and three reference letters addressed to Dr. Chun-Keung
Loong, Intense Pulsed Neutron Source Division, Bldg. 360, Argonne
