The Laboratory for Neutron Scattering (Paul Scherrer Institute and ETH
Zuerich) announces two openings for research scientists (physicists,
chemists, crystallographers) at the Swiss Spallation Neutron Source 'SINQ'
(http://lns.web.psi.ch/lns/jobs2001.html). The posts represent excellent
opportunities for postdoctoral scientists to develop their expertise,
broaden experience and interact with scientists from many countries. We are
looking for
A - Co-responsible for the powder diffractometer DMC
(http://sinq.web.psi.ch/sinq/instr/dmc.html)
B - Co-responsible for the reflectometer AMOR
(http://sinq.web.psi.ch/sinq/instr/amor.html)
Your tasks would be:
- Co-responsibility for the operation and further development of the
instrument, in particular co-operation with guest scientists in their
experiments at SINQ
- Performance of neutron scattering experiments at SINQ for your own
research projects
- Development and implementation of analytical software for the instrument
For further information about the positions please contact (A) Dr. P.
Fischer, phone: +4156310-2094, e-mail: peter.fischer at psi.ch and (B) Dr. P.
