[Neutron] Open Position at SINQ/PSI

The Laboratory for Neutron Scattering (ETH Zurich & PSI Villigen) has an
open position for an

      Instrument Scientist (Small Angle Neutron Scattering)
           at the Swiss Spallation Neutron Source SINQ
************************************************************************
 
The position is on a contractual basis and has a duration of 2-3 years. The
starting date is April 2004 (or according to mutual agreement)
 
Your tasks:
 - Performance of research in one or more of the fields of soft condensed
matter, materials science or magnetism, mainly by neutron scattering
techniques (the use of X-ray scattering techniques at the Swiss Light Source
at PSI Villigen is encouraged as well)
 - Responsibility for the operation and further development of the small
angle neutron scattering instrument SANS-II at the spallation source SINQ at
PSI Villigen.
 - Co-operation with guest scientists in their experiments at SINQ.
 
Your profile:
 -You are a graduated research scientist with a PhD in physics or chemistry,
preferentially with some years' research experience in the field of small
angle neutron and/or X-ray scattering.
 - You have some practical knowledge of computing.
 - You are willing to work in a team and to communicate (establishing a
professional relationship with both staff and guest scientists) as well as
to work flexible hours.
