Description
We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic and able instrument scientists
for ENGIN-X, the advanced neutron strain scanning instrument at the ISIS
Pulsed Neutron and Muon Source. The successful candidates will provide
scientific and technical support to the user programme in addition to
pursuing a research programme.
Candidates should have a relevant degree and ideally a Ph.D in Physics,
Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science and a keen interest in using
neutron scattering alongside other techniques to solve engineering problems.
Salary
The salary level will be between £21,148 and £33,559, depending on the
amount of relevant experience. An excellent index linked pension scheme and
generous leave allowance are also offered.
