[Neutron] Open position at FRM-II, Instrument scientist particle physics

On behalf of the State of Bavaria, the Technische Universität München
operates the New Neutron Source FRM-II in Garching.
We are seeking a

                        Research Scientist

for operating and further developing the polarized cold neutron beam
facility MEPHISTO for particle and nuclear physics. Besides a Ph.D. in
experimental physics and good communication skills, the position
requires excellent experimental capabilities and preferably also
experience in working with slow neutrons.

Responsibilities include cooperation with visiting researchers in
conducting experiments, as well as development of new experimental
strategies and equipment. The successful candidate is strongly
encouraged to pursue an own research program using MEPHISTO or any of
the other facilities at the Institute. In particular, the position
offers the opportunity to actively participate in a development and
research program with ultra-cold neutrons.

The appointment will initially be limited to three years with the
possibility of extension or to become permanent. The Technische
