The Condensed Matter Physics team supervises a suite of thermal and cold
neutron triple axis spectrometers, and is seeking candidates for a staff
position at the NCNR. A doctorate in condensed matter physics and
experience in triple-axis neutron spectrometry or related techniques is
desirable but not essential. U. S. citizenship or permanent resident status
is required, and starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.
The incumbent is expected to collaborate with scientific users at the NCNR,
contribute to the running of the facility and planning for future
instruments and upgrades, as well as perform their own independent research
taking advantage of the wide range of neutron instrumentation available at
the NCNR.
