The Laboratory for Neutron Scattering (ETH Zurich & PSI Villigen)
has an open Post Doc position for a
*** PHYSICIST / CHEMIST ***
Your tasks:
Co-responsibility for the operation and further
development of the small-angle scattering instrument
SANS-I at the neutron spallation source SINQ, in
particular assisting guest scientists in conducting
their experiments
Participating in instrument development projects
Development and installation of software for data analysis
Own scientific research in the frame of the programs of
the laboratory, preferentially using neutron scattering
techniques in the field of soft matter
Your profile:
You are recently graduated (PhD) in experimental physics
or chemistry with experience in soft matter. Familiarity
with microstructure characterization using scattering
techniques are desirable. Furthermore, we expect the
ability to work in a team and to communicate (establishing
a professional relationship with guest scientists) as well
as your willingness to work flexible hours. The candidate
will be encouraged to develop his/her own independent and
collaborative research by taking advantage of facilities
at SINQ and other facilities at PSI.
