[Neutron] PostDoc position at JCNS

The Juelich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) is offering a PostDoc 
position as*

Research Scientist (Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry or Crystallography)
as second instrument scientist for the time-of-flight spectrometer
with polarisation analysis DNS at the research reactor FRM II in
Garching / Munich

**Duties:* You will be involved at the further development of the 
time-of-flight spectrometer with polarisation analysis DNS at the 
research reactor FRM II in Garching as second instrument responsible, in 
particular for the development of software for display and analysis of 
data from single crystals; you will be co-responsible for the user 
operation; you will participate in the research program of the institute 
with the focus on magnetism and correlated electron systems and have the 
opportunity to carry out a personal research program.

*Qualification:* We are interested in highly motivated candidates with 
the strong interest in scientific and technical problems and the ability 
to cooperate with groups of the research centres and with users. 
Mobility is required as well as computing skills. Although not 
essential, some experience with scattering methods (x-ray or neutron 
scattering) is highly desirable as well as good knowledge of solid state 
physics, in particular solid state magnetism or correlated electron 
systems. Initially we offer a fixed term contract for three years.
