The Rosenfest Lectures will occur on Thursday, May 19, 2011. There
will be a fantastic line up of speakers who will discuss Louis
Rosen's legacy from the Manhattan Project to MaRIE. The early
registration fee for the lectures is only $100.
A RARE PUBLIC tour of LANSCE will occur on Friday, May 20th. The
tour is not $100.00, it's not $1,000, it's FREE! There will be
special activities -building a buckyball, magnet mania , accelerator
lecture- designed for minors which will held at the Lujan Center from
3:30pm-5:30pm.
Please register separately for this special tour.

The Rosenfest Lectures will be held May 19-20, 2011 at the historic
Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Rosenfest will have a series
of lectures in honor of Dr. Louis Rosen, the Father of the Los Alamos
Neutron Science Center (LANSCE).
A free tour of LANSCE, open to the public, will be conducted the
afternoon of May 20. Tour participation is limited. Apply for the
LANSCE Tour NOW @ rosenfest.lanl.gov
Honoring the Past, Highlighting the Future
From the Manhattan Project to MaRIE: Rosenfest will cover Dr.
Rosen's early life, career, influence and scientific legacy from
nuclear science to international relations. Lectures on the past,
present, and future of LANSCE and its world-class research will be
presented, including the Matter-Radiation Interactions in Extremes
(MaRIE) experimental facility, LANL's proposed next-generation
signature science complex.
Registration for Rosenfest Lectures includes the banquet on Thursday
evening, May 19.

At Rosenfest the County of Los Alamos will dedicate life-size bronze
statues of Manhattan Project leaders Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer and
General Leslie R. Groves. The statues were commissioned by Los Alamos
County’s Art in Public Places and the LA Historical Society.
