                      "Neutron instrumentation: from continuous to spallation sources"

to be held on October 4-7, 2011 in Tutzing conference centre next to Munich, Germany is now opened .

The workshop will bring together experts in the neutron scattering instrumentation  to discuss the latest advances in neutron instrumentation at the continuous sources and short pulse spallation sources through the prism of the use of the accumulated experience for the design of the long-pulse spallation source instrumentation. The state of the art of key components like choppers, polarizers/analyzers, detectors etc. will be another key topic of the workshop.

The scientific program includes invited and contributed presentations and posters related to large scale and inelastic instrumentation, neutron diffraction on powders and single crystals, engineering materials and macromolecular structures. Polarization analysis and larmor precession instruments are highlighted in this workshop as well.

The workshop will be held in the Conference Center of the Evangelische Akademie in Tutzing right on the lakefront of the Starnberger See south of Munich. Attendees will be accommodated directly at the venue. The workshop fee of 430 Euro includes 3 nights and full board. For students a reduced fee of 250 Euro will apply.
