[Neutron] 2012 LANSCE School on Neutron Scattering

Dear Colleagues,

The 2012 LANSCE School on Neutron Scattering will be held in Los Alamos, New Mexico, at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE), September 12-21.

This year's school will focus on issues in basic and applied soft matter research where neutrons can and do make fundamental contributions. The school will provide an overview of the basics of neutron scattering, analysis of neutron data, deuteration, connecting measurements and theory, applications in renewable energy, biology, medicine & pharmaceuticals and the uses of polymers in structural and transportation systems.

The 2012 school also features a special track for protein crystallography using joint neutron and X-ray diffraction for structural enzymology.

Please note that the deadline for the school is this Friday, June 22 (apologies for the short notice).
If you have any students that you believe would be a good fit, please encourage them to apply.
