[Neutron] Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The Atominstitut of the Vienna University of Technology is hiring a

Senior Design Engineer



Your job will be:

• complex CAD designs

• finite-element simulations

• processing, incl. quality management, of external and internal mechanical manufacturing

• working in an environment of a nuclear reactor



Your professional profile should be:

• degree in mechanical engineering or equal experience

• several years of extensive experience in mechanical design and manufacturing

• very good knowledge of finite-element simulations

• basic knowledge of neutron physics or willingness to familiarise with it



The Vienna University of Technology is the major technical university in Austria, with 4.500 employees. The Atominstitut is well known in the fields of nuclear, radiation physics and quantum optics. The institute offers a vibrant working environment. The minimum annual salary is 37.000 € (gross), with additional benefits, i.e. health insurance and pension coverage. A high level of experience and qualification of candidates will increase the salary.

Contract type: fixed term contract until 31.12.2015.
