Ladies and Gentlemen, dear colleagues,
At our research reactor BER II and the synchrotron BESSY II HZB offers highly specialised scientific setups to roughly 3000 international users per year. Due to our strategic focus on materials and energy a lot of the questions we are working on are of industrial relevance.
In co-operation with the German national metrology institute PTB we would like to present to you a selection of those research projects on the 19th of February 2015 as a workshop on industrial research using synchrotron and neutron methods.
The workshop will focus on the following subjects:
-Manufacturing of high precision optical elements with synchrotron based lithography
-Material science with synchrotron radiation and neutron scattering offering for example characterisation of residual stresses in various components
- Macromolecular protein crystallography at our MX-beamlines
Presentations by industrial users and researchers will be given at Berlin Adlershof. The one day workshop is free of charge to the participants. A tour into the experimental hall of the synchrotron is possible if wanted.
Our colleagues from HZB and PTB are looking forward to meet you to discuss new projects. Details on the program and the online registration can be found on the workshops website:
