Based on the feedback received so far, the issue is supported by a large
number of high-level, renowned authors. With this this, we would like to
sincerely invite the community to contribute a paper to this special
issue of the journal Metals. Suggested topics are given below in this
email. This international journal is published by MDPI
(http://www.mdpi.com/).

*Topics include but not limited to*

diffraction; imaging; spectroscopy
poly-crystalline; single-crystalline; amorphous
structural changes; kinetics; time-resolved
phase transformations; microstructures; plasticity; mechanisms
strain; stress; texture
reciprocal space; real space; coherent beams
phonons; vibrations; ultrashort times
high energy synchrotron X-rays; neutron reactor; spallation source;
free-electron laser
light metals; steels; intermetallics; special metals
extreme conditions; high temperature; uni-axial load; impact; high-pressure

You may send your manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted
papers should not have been published previously, nor be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to
send us their tentative title and short abstract to the Editorial Office
(metals at mdpi.com) for approval.

If you are currently preparing your manuscript or would like to
contribute a paper for this interesting issue, please feel free to
contact us. You may also visit the Instructions for Authors before
submitting a manuscript:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/metals/instructions/.
Manuscripts should be submitted through the online manuscript submission
and editorial system at http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.

Each new submission will be processed as quickly as possible and
published on acceptance.

We invite you to browse through our published papers and hope you will
consider publishing a paper in metals in the near future.

In case of questions, please contact the Editorial Office at:
metals at mdpi.com

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
