[Neutron] Physics of Liquids at APS March Meeting 2017

As the deadline for abstract is coming soon (*Friday, November 11, 2016*),
we would like to cordially invite you to submit abstracts to the Focused
Session entitled “*Physics of Liquids*” at the coming American Physical
Society (APS) March Meeting 2017 (
https://www.aps.org/meetings/march/index.cfm) from March 13 to March 17,
2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This session aims to provide a general forum at APS covering all aspects of
the classical and quantum physics of liquids -- broadly defined. Topics
from fresh theoretical treatments and computation methods to cutting-edge
experimental techniques on any type of liquids and liquid-like matter are
all welcome. In a way, we hope the effort may contribute to the outreach of
liquid research to the physics community in US and gain more public
acknowledgement of liquids as important and feature-rich condensed states
of matter. Students and early-career researchers are strongly encouraged to
contribute to the session.

Our inaugural speaker is Prof. James Skinner from University of Wisconsin
Madison. The title of his talk is “Supercooled water: three-body
interactions, IR spectra in no man’s land, and the liquid-liquid critical
point”.
