CONFERENCE VENUE

Tucked in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, acres of vast open space roll into Boulder, Colorado’s quaint cityscape.

To the west, the trail-lined Flatirons are craggy rock formations overlooking the city. Downtown’s brick-paved pedestrian Pearl Street Mall—the heart and soul of Boulder—provides a central gathering place where locals and visitors alike come to stroll and shop among historic store fronts and art galleries, dine at award-winning restaurants and bars, tour craft breweries, sip coffee and soak up this creative community’s laid-back lifestyle. Home to the Fiske Planetarium, the Museum of Natural History, and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (under the stars, from June to August), the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) is a center for research and culture. Add three national laboratories—the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)—and it is obvious that Boulder has also been busy making some of the world’s most important discoveries about Earth and beyond. National Geographic recently recognized Boulder as “The Happiest City in the U.S.” We invite you to join us and see why.
