[cid:image002.jpg at 01D65B92.9C5187B0]Dear Colleagues,

Registration is now open for the Quantum Materials Initiative VIRTUAL workshop on "Neutrons and Complimentary Techniques for Quantum Materials" to be held on August 11-14, 2020.

The workshop is initiated by the Neutron Scattering Division's Quantum Materials Initiative (QMI) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Neutron scattering along with other methods such as synchrotron X-ray scattering, muon spin relaxation/rotation (muSR), scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron spin resonance (ESR), angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), terahertz spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy, bulk magnetic property measurements etc., have been proven to be powerful and complementary tools in every breakthrough of condensed matter research.

The workshop aims to bring together neutron users and experts in other techniques to showcase how neutron scattering and various other techniques can be complementary in investigating quantum materials at the forefront of condensed matter research. Please check out the workshop website here<https://conference.sns.gov/event/234/registrations/72/>.

The DEADLINE to register for this free workshop is set on Friday, July 31, 2020. Please register at https://conference.sns.gov/event/234/registrations/72/.

Please reach out to the workshop organizers for any question you may have: Songxue Chi (chis at ornl.gov<mailto:chis at ornl.gov> ), Tao Hong (hongt at ornl.gov<mailto:hongt at ornl.gov>), Wei Tian (tianwn at ornl.gov<mailto:tianwn at ornl.gov>) and
