[Neutron] UK Neutron Scattering Group Early Career Meeting 25-26/08

Dear All,

We are delighted to announce an online Early Career Meeting run by the Neutron Scattering Group, affiliated to the Institute of Physics and Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK, which will take place on 25th/26th August.  Apologies for cross-posting but you can find information about the event here:

Invited and contributed talks as well as posters will be presented exclusively by early career researchers but everyone is welcome to participate!  There will be the following sessions:

- Soft condensed matter and biology
- Magnetism and superconductivty
- Chemistry, materials and engineering
- Instrumentation
- Sample environment and data analysis

What else?  There will be a breakout session with discussions on:

- Applying for beamtime and facility studentships
- Access to resources and reimbursements
- Access to facilities in coming years

There will also be an award of the group's AGM, the Thomas-Penfold prize for the best poster and a slot for the BTM Willis Prize 2020 lecture!

Registration and abstract submission are now open.  There are 22 open slots for contributed talks.  So please register and encourage students, Postdocs, new instrument scientists, new academics to submit abstracts - spread the word and let's make the event a success!
