[Neutron] MATRAC 1 Summer School “Application of Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Engineering Materials Science” to be held in Lauenburg/Hamburg, Germany, and Lund, Sweden, 12 to 17 March 2023

We take pleasure in informing you that registration is now open for our MATRAC 1 School 'Application of Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Engineering Materials Science' to be held in Germany and Sweden from 12 to 17 March 2023. The school will be performed in cooperation with the Röntgen-Ångström-Cluster (https://www.rontgen-angstrom.eu/) through funding by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, Germany).

The MATRAC 1 School will provide a systematic overview of the application of neutrons and synchrotron radiation to the structural analysis of engineering materials. The focus of the practical training will be on synchrotron experiments. Therefore, the school consists of a theoretical course starting in Lauenburg near Hamburg (Germany) and continued in Lund (Sweden), one day of experiments at GEMS/DESY in Hamburg and one day at MAX IV in Lund. The last day of the school offers further talks and a final discussion.

Registration deadline is 15 January 2023.
