Dear Colleagues,

We are currently seeking to hire two postdoctoral research
associates with expertise in utilizing neutron scattering techniques to
investigate the crystal structure and ionic dynamics of energy materials
(e.g., Li/Na-ion cathodes). Candidates with a strong interest in neutron
scattering techniques and research experience in energy materials (e.g.
Li/Na-ion battery materials or relatedmaterials) are especially
encouraged to apply. The appointment is for a two-year term with the
possibility for extension and promotion. We offer a competitive salary,
access to state-of-the-art research resources, and a stimulating
research environment. The post-doctoral research will be based at Peking
University Shenzhen Graduate School (Shenzhen, China).

*R**esearch field**s**:*

- Research on the structural characteristics of energy materials,
including battery materials, hydrogen storage materials, thermoelectric
materials, etc.

- Research on the formation mechanism and real-time evolutions of
multiphase structures for Li/Na-ion battery materials.

- Application and development of in-situ/operando neutron
characterization techniques; Design and construction of neutron
instruments for investigating the structure of energy materials at
neutron facilities.

*Qualification requirements:*

- Applicants should have or be close to completing a Ph.D. no more than
three years before the last date for application.

- Educational background in materials science, condensed matter
physics, or physical chemistry, among others.

- Several high-level scientific articles published in the corresponding
research field.

- Experience in neutron/X-ray scattering techniques or energy materials.

- Proficiency in effective oral and written communication in English.

*Duties/Responsibilities:*

- Development of in-operando electrochemical neutron diffraction
platform and other relevant neutron scattering techniques to investigate
Li/Na-ion batteries.

- Conducting neutron/X-ray scattering experiments and analyzing data.

- Publishing scientific articles and presenting results at national or
international meetings.
