After the final shutdown of the BER II research reactor in Berlin at the end of
2019, the highly developed experimental equipment previously used for the
research with neutrons will be given to other research facilities for further
use. The Department for Instrument Transfer is responsible for all practical
issues related to the implementation of this project. We are looking for a
highly motivated mechanical engineer or technical physicist with hands-on
experience, who will be responsible in particular for the dismantling of the
sophisticated neutron time-of-flight spectrometer NEAT and its reconstruction
and recommissioning at our partner institute in Budapest. In addition, he/she
actively will support the dismantling of further experimental set-ups. With us
he/she can expect varying tasks, a reliable team, and a family-friendly
cooperate culture.
