[Neutron] Upcoming abstract deadline for MLZ Users 2025

Dear neutron users,

This year’s MLZ User Meeting will take place in Munich on Dec 03rd-04th, 2025, and all details can be found at the event’s webpage<https://indico.frm2.tum.de/e/um25>.

Abstract deadline is on Sept 25th - just two weeks to go!

After holding more than ten User Meetings, we would like to try something new and change our format! As it will be the last User Meeting before the planned restart of the FRM II in 2026, the main focus will be on this topic. In addition to the Directors’ update and the talk by this year’s MLZ awardee, the preparations of the instrument teams and service groups will be presented in a dedicated plenary session before posters introduce the new features of the instruments. We look forward to all your questions and hope to stimulate many discussions!

Due to this different approach, there will be a limited number of parallel talks and poster spaces. However, we look forward to receiving your abstracts and giving you the opportunity to present your research using neutrons and positrons.

For your travel plans: As usual, we will start at around noon with lunch. There will be a dinner in a Bavarian restaurant on the evening of the 03rd, and the event will end in the afternoon on the 04th.

Don’t miss: There will also be a QENS-workshop by our DEVA Group on Dec. 2nd!
