NIST CENTER FOR NEUTRON RESEARCH

The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) is seeking expressions 
of interest in a possible position in inelastic neutron scattering.  
A recent Ph.D. in experimental Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, 
or Biophysics with experience in neutron, x-ray, Raman, IR, or NMR 
techniques is sought to share the responsibilities associated with 
the operation of the neutron backscattering instrument at the NCNR.  
The responsibilities include assisting visiting researchers in 
conducting experiments and reducing data, instrument testing and 
calibration, and software development.  Successful candidates would 
also conduct their own independent or collaborative research.  
This appointment would be for 2-4 years.  Salary would be in the 
range from $42,000 to $50,000 depending on qualifications and 
experience.
