VACANCY Instrument scientist (physicist, biophysicist)
******************************************************
The Laboratoire Léon Brillouin (LLB) is the French national neutron
scattering centers, it operates the 14 MW reactor Orphée supplying
neutrons to 25 scattering instruments. It operates more than
400 experiments per year and is supported by the European community
under the Human Potential Research Infractstructures project (HPRI).
The LLB is opening a one-year (two years) post-doctoral position on
neutron spin-echo and Time-of-flight spectrometers for an
experimental Physicist or a Biophysicist.
The candidate will enter a group of physicists/biophysicists using
neutron scattering techniques and molecular modeling.
The tasks would be:
- Co-operation with guest scientists in their experiments at LLB
- Performance of neutron scattering experiments at LLB for his/her
own research projects
- Instrument development
We are looking for candidates with a basic training in scattering
techniques (preferentially inelastic neutron scattering) and/or
biophysics research. You can find additional information on the
Web (http://www-llb.cea.fr/) or by contacting :
