NIST Center for Neutron Research Postdoctoral position
We are seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position focused on studying
hydrogen-storage-related phenomena at the National Institute of Standards
and Technology's Center for Neutron Research, Gaithersburg, MD.
The successful candidate will contribute to research aimed at understanding
the physics and chemistry underpinning hydrogen interactions in both
adsorbent and hydride systems. The primary tools to this end involve the use
of neutron diffraction, inelastic neutron scattering and quasi-elastic
neutron scattering techniques. Candidates must have a PhD in a physical
science. Experience in neutron or X-ray scattering is desirable but not
essential.
Appointment will initially be for two years with the possibility of
extension for up to two additional years. Salary is in the range from
$54,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The deadline for the application is April 15th 2007.
