[Neutron] Job announcement at HMI

[Herzog]

Postdoc in physics, chemistry or materials science for neutron tomography

 

HMI operates a beamline for neutron tomography for users from universities
and for HMI’s own research, e.g.  to characterise materials and components.
We are currently looking for a person who will further develop the
instrument, e.g. for tomography with polarized neutrons.

 

Your tasks:

 

*     Implementation of research projects utilising neutron tomography

*     Participation in the user service of the beamline

 

Required qualifications

*     Ability and readiness to work in and to lead a team

*     Special knowledge in neutron scattering and tomography

*     Experience on the field of solid state physics or materials research

*     Experience with data analysis or measurement techniques

 

This position is limited to 3 years, in case of exceptional qualification
tenure can be envisaged.
