The Technische Universität München operates the
Forschungsneutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) in Garching
which is one of the leading neutron sources world wide.
We invite applications for a
Research Scientist
for operating and further development of the three-axis spectrometer
PUMA managed by the University Göttingen, IPC, Prof. Götz Eckold.
Responsibilities include cooperation with visiting researchers,
conducting experiments and development of experimental equipment for the
high flux three-axis-spectrometer Puma. The incumbents are expected to
perform their own independent research in collaboration with the
IPC, taking advantage of the wide range of neutron instrumentation
available at the FRM II.
The appointment will initially be limited to three years with the
possibility of extension. The Technische Universität München is an equal
opportunity employer. Therefore women are especially encouraged to
apply. Handicapped persons having an equivalent experience will be
preferred.
For applicants with a strong background from prior post-doctoral
experiences a Habilitation may be supported.
Applicants should send a letter of interest describing relevant
experience, including a full curriculum vitae and a publication list
until 15.2.2012 to:
